Daniel Donato was riding high as the first half of his Horizons tour came to a close over the weekend. Despite being on the road for weeks, the energy was top notch for his Birmingham stop at Saturn. After a country fueled first set, Donato took a packed house deep into his cosmic cosmos with a second set that started with Dance in the Desert and didn’t stop the rest of the night. It was constant exploration for Donato and crew finding multiple grooves to fuel an almost entirely improvised second stanza.
After a few weeks to patch their bones. Donato, Sugar, Mustang and Bronco will hit the road for part two of the Horizons tour. A photo gallery from the Saturn 10/3/25 is below.
