Alex Koford, member of Grateful Shred and the Terrapin Family Band continues to focus on his solo music with his latest release Chemicals and Purple Haze. The song is part of a bigger batch of songs recorded and produced by Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools.
This is Koford’s fourth single and continues to solidify the notion that he is one of the most underrated lyricists, vocalists, and multi instrumentalists in a musical world he’s planning his future on.
Koford’s family is friends with legendary musician and leader of the Terrapin Family Band Phil Lesh. He grew up with Lesh’s kids Brian and fellow TFB bandmate Grahame.
Stayed tuned as Slideandbanjo.com will delve deep into Koford’s unique journey from childhood friends with the Lesh’s to a ticket taker at Terrapin Crossroads to becoming a touring musician sharing the stage with several of music’s heavyweights.
